Shalom Health Care Center Announces Health Care Enrollment Event

Free event offers sign-ups for health coverage during Obamacare Open Enrollment

Indianapolis, IN – Shalom Health Care Center, a not-for-profit Federally Qualified Health Center offering primary care services to the uninsured and underinsured on the west side of Indianapolis, announced today that it will open to the public for a health coverage enrollment event from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 7.

Morella Dominguez, Director of Community Relations and Marketing, oversees Shalom’s efforts to enroll area residents in health coverage programs. She said anyone who attends the free event will receive options for health coverage that meet their needs and their budget and that also meet the health coverage requirements of the Affordable Care Act.

“At Shalom, our mission is to improve the health of our community through affordable and personalized quality health care,” Dominguez said. “By hosting this enrollment event, we can help more and more individuals and families get covered so they have more and more access to the health care they need.”

The enrollment event will take place at Shalom Health Care Center’s west side offices, located at 3400 Lafayette Road. Shalom will provide several of its own Indiana Navigators and has also brought in additional Navigators to assist individuals and families with enrollment. Light refreshments will also be offered.
