How much will my visit cost?
Shalom offers a sliding fee discount program.
When you come to Shalom as a patient, your first step is to meet with a financial counselor who will help explain the costs of your health care and help you figure out how to cover those costs. We’ll help you find out if you’re eligible for services at reduced cost or at no cost to you, through programs like Medicaid and the Prescription Assistance Program.
Services in Shalom’s Primary Care Clinic are offered on a sliding fee scale, based on family size and income. Your financial counselor will work with you to apply all the discounts you qualify for, to make sure that your health care is as affordable as possible.
School-Based Clinic Fees
Services at Shalom’s school based clinics are free of charge to families regardless of insurance coverage thanks to the support of our donors and community partnerships.
Ability to Pay
This health center serves all patients regardless of their ability to pay. Discounts for essential services are offered based on family size and income. For more information, please inquire at the front desk or visit our website. Thank you!

Know Your Rights – No Surprises Act
You are protected from unexpected medical bills.
The No Surprises Act is a federal law that protects patients from surprise medical bills for certain services. This means you have the right to know the expected cost of your care before you receive services.
What this means for you:
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the cost of your visit
- You will be informed of expected charges for services when possible
- You are protected from unexpected or hidden medical bills for covered services
Would you like to know your estimated cost?
Please ask a Patient Service Representative for a Good Faith Estimate, which will be provided within one to three business days.
We are happy to help you understand your care and costs.
